pre-production process

Multi-Stage Quality Control Process

(Pre-Production and During the Productions)

01

Raw Material Inspection

Ensure only high-quality raw materials (clay, feldspar, quartz, pigments) are used.

Ensure only high-quality raw materials (clay, feldspar, quartz, pigments) are used.

What Happens:

Good tiles start with good ingredients. Inconsistent raw materials can lead to weak structure, color inconsistency, and surface defects.

02

Raw Material Inspection

Ensure only high-quality raw materials (clay, feldspar, quartz, pigments) are used.

Forming

Check for shape accuracy, thickness, and surface smoothness after pressing.

Drying

Verify moisture content is within safe limits to avoid cracks.

Glazing

Ensure even glaze coating without air bubbles or pinholes.

Printing

Match print sharpness and pattern alignment with design specs.

03

Firing Process Monitoring

Maintain precise kiln temperature and timing for durability.

quality testing

Post Production Testing

Whiteness test

Whiteness test is a process in the ceramic tiles manufacturing industry to check the tiles colour and shining quality. We do a whiteness test to ensure consistent colour quality of tiles.

Whiteness test process helps manufacturers to maintain a high level of quality products.

Water Absorption test

Water absorption test is a vital test in ceramic manufacturing process to check tiles quality and durability. In this process we keep a glass of water on the backside of the tiles for a certain amount of time(24Hrs) and check how much water tiles can absorb.

Lower water absorption tiles are considered as best and highly durable tiles.

Glossiness test

Glossiness test is a process to check surface finish of tiles. If there are variations in glossiness it will show variations and aesthetic appeal of tiles when you lay tiles.

This process helps manufacturers to maintain high quality surfaces in tiles.

Banding test

Banding or surface flatness test is the important process to ensure that tiles have an even and flat surface.

Banding happens when improper temperatures apply during the firing process and improper pressure given to biscuit. EGL has an automated machinery setup that will apply proper temperature and pressure during the firing process. So, we offer zero banding guaranteed.

Proper Edge Polishing

Edge polishing issue is the biggest issue customer experience in the ceramic industry. But, We keep our polishing head-movements a little bit bigger than the tile surface to avoid dull edge polishing issues.
